2008 Events
- January 24 (Thursday)- Annual Meeting, (members
only) - potluck at Myrna & Charlie Smith's 6:30pm
- March 16 (Sunday) – “Plant Society Day” at
Gertens, cosponsored by the Hort Society. Edie Godfrey will staff the
DSM table, 1:00 to 5:00 PM. One additional volunteer needed, Contact

- March 20 (Thursday) - Location and program to be
announced. Meeting will also include discussion of our spring
show.
- April 10-12 - American Daffodil Society national
show and convention – Richmond, VA. If you’ve never
gone to a national show, consider going this year! Several DSM
members have been to national shows, and would be happy to tell you
all about them!
- April 12 (Saturday) - “Plant Info Day” at
the Arboretum. We’ll have a DSM table, 10:00 to 3:00. Need 3-4 volunteers.

- May 17 - Daffodil Show at City of Robinsdale Public Safety Building,
4101 Hubbard Avenue North, Robbinsdale, MN, See Our
Show for more information
- April/May - tour homes of DSM members to view their
daffodils - schedules to be posted
- April 30 - May 4 - “Art In Bloom” at
the Art Institute. DSM will sponsor a designer.
- Late May - potluck, date and location TBD. Gather
to discuss and place ‘group orders’ for bulbs.
- Late May or Early June (dates to be announced) -
Bulb dig in Michigan at John Reed’s growing fields (this is the source
for all those bulbs we sell in the fall!). Volunteers always welcome!
- August (Specifc dates to be announced) - bulb cleaning & bagging
at Edie Godfrey’s, in prep for fall sales.
- Saturday in Late August or Early September - bulb
exchange (members only). Also a “plant exchange” if
you have divisions you’d like to share. This is the best time to get
show-quality daffodil varieties at very cheap prices!
- Late August and Early September - Fall Bulb Sales
(dates and locations to be determined).
- December 6 (Saturday)- 3nd annual combined Holiday
Party with the Iris Society of Minnesota (ISM). The ISM folks will
be the hosts this year.
